About the Role

As a Software Engineer, Platform (Developer Experience), you will:

Take end-to-end ownership of the engineering developer experience, empowering our teams to build with maximum productivity, velocity, and reliability.
Bring order and structure to a fast-growing codebase, setting foundational standards and frameworks.
Build and integrate application frameworks and productivity tools to support a scaling engineering organization.
Architect and own the observability stack (from code instrumentation to dashboarding and monitoring).
Embed AI-driven development tooling throughout engineering workflows.
Identify and execute on reliability improvements and system stability initiatives.

This is a high-ownership role with real impact – you will set the standards and build the backbone that supports Lovable’s continued growth.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

We’re seeking someone who can demonstrate the following:

7+ years of experience improving developer productivity and reliability within platform/developer experience teams, ideally in scale-up environments.
Proven programming ability and a portfolio of internal tools or frameworks adopted within an engineering organization.
Deep hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, etc.) as well as CI/CD and observability best practices.
End-to-end expertise in operating, extending, and instrumenting observability stacks (OTEL, Grafana, telemetry pipelines, etc.).
A pragmatic approach to building scalable, secure, and resilient systems—and the judgement to make critical trade-offs between speed, quality, and stability.
High comfort with ambiguity and fast-changing requirements; adept at shipping solutions quickly and iteratively.
Relocation-ready to Stockholm or London, or already based in one of these cities. This is not a remote or hybrid role.

Not a fit: This role suits platform engineers who have owned and transformed developer experience at the core, not those whose primary experience is building product features or configuring third-party infrastructure.
